When an insurance company and a policyholder disagree on the amount of a loss, the appraisal process offers a way to settle the dispute without litigation. Settle Our Claim LLC provides a professional, non-biased insurance umpire who works to resolve amount-of-loss disputes quickly, fairly, and amicably — and to keep claims out of litigation whenever possible.
Umpire services. When the two party-appointed appraisers cannot agree on the amount of loss, we serve as the neutral umpire: reviewing both appraisers' positions and issuing an award. We serve impartially in every appointment: no involvement in the claim under dispute, and no financial interest in its outcome.
Settle Our Claim LLC has provided umpire services since 2011. The firm accepts assignments nationwide. Its principal, Christian Weis, has served as an insurance umpire since 2009, including appointments for various carriers — State Farm, Farmers, USAA, Liberty Mutual, MetLife, Safeco, and others.
He has settled 1,000+ residential and commercial claims as an umpire/appraiser, ensuring impartial and fair outcomes, and handled 2,000+ property loss claims as an independent adjuster across hurricane, tornado, wind, hail, fire, vandalism, theft, and liability losses. Christian uses his vast experience in residential and commercial claims handling as well as many years of residential and commercial construction project management and hands-on experience to settle the dispute fairly while using all industry standard estimating tools and resources.
